Fundamental to my way of working is establishing a good working counselling relationship. No two counselling relationships I have are alike, this is because you are unique. Whilst you may share a similar presenting problem as another, how you experience it will not be the same. My way of working with you is tailored to your uniqueness. My own individual and integrated style of counselling and practice is shaped by my ongoing professional and personal development, and my own lived life experiences. You and I combined will influence the therapeutic process and our counselling relationship.
While together we will predominantly explore the problems or issues you are living with, we will not work in isolation of these: clients are not just the problem or an issue that they bring to the counselling session - the problem or the issue that you are seeking counselling for does not solely define you or characterise you as the whole individual you are.
I offer a safe, confidential, non-judgemental, authentic and empathic counselling space for you to explore problems or difficulties you are living with. With care and diligence, together we will explore your past and present experiences and work towards your future aims and goals. With my help, you will discover your own safe solutions to problems: I am not the expert of your life: you are!

I consider it a privilege to be a counsellor, it is a role I never take for granted. Throughout my years of practice, I have always been, and continue to be, in awe of anyone who reaches out for help. A desire to tackle issues that are challenging and to invest in your emotional and mental wellbeing, is inspiring. It inspires and contributes to my investment and commitment to my practice and my profession.
